Aloysia Burgess, née Colquhoun, is a wife and mother to two boys. She always had a love of literature and, as a child, would write her own stories. After years of working in the beauty industry for brands like DryBar and Arrojo, she decided to go back to her first love of writing with her debut book, “Why Is This My Name?"
Growing up, she struggled with her "unique" name. Through the years, she met people who shared similar stories. Now that she loves her name, she hopes that this book will serve as inspiration for others to do the same. Her goal is to encourage acceptance and self-love through her writing.
